JOB SUMMARY:


Working with Senior Director of Business Analysis and other members of the team, the Senior Business Analyst will support the enterprise through risk management, profit opportunity analysis and critical solution development with the overall objective of identifying and improving the enterprise profitability. To be successful, the highly motivated individual must be insightful, detail oriented, analytically sound and comfortable managing large data sets. This position is ideal for candidates that have experience in the PBM or pharmacy supply chain industry (PBM pricing / underwriting / competitive marketplace analysis and ability to read and understand PBM contracts / proposals, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Pricing, Retail Pharmacy Chain Pricing or other similar experience in other industries) and possess strong technical / computer modeling skills with knowledge of Tableau a plus.

Essential Duties


Analyze and report on client performance as it relates to their price point contractual guarantees.

Model risk management strategies to mitigate potential liabilities, while maximizing client profitability.

Read, document and ensure client contracts agree with marketplace and corporate commitments in order to track, report and manage to the client contracts.

Document and assist in managing client contractual guarantees. Mitigate risks, maximize opportunities.

Provide analytics to Senior Management and the Trade group for retail network management, rebate analysis, and mail wholesaler agreements purposes.

Support trade relations with insights and performance metrics to better manage revenue and cost of goods sold.

Provide planning & analysis support to corporate finance. Communicate the impact of operational changes to financial performance.

Utilize Tableau for high-level business intelligence data visualizations and trending.

Other duties as assigned.


Requirements


Bachelor's degree is required. MBA / CPA preferred, but not required.

Strong work ethic required.

Hybrid work scheduled preferred


Industry Related Experience


Previous pharmacy industry experience and familiarity with drug data systems (Medispan, First Data Bank, NCPDP) a strong plus.

Prior PBM Pricing, Financial Analysis or other equivalent function is highly preferred.

Understanding of PBM basics, finances, flow of funds, and client contract management is a strong plus.

Understanding of retail networks, mail & specialty pharmacies, rebates, specialty copay assistance programs, various pricing options available in today's marketplace preferred.

Understanding of PBM revenue management, cost of goods sold and risk management is preferred.

Understanding of PBM Client lifecycle management.


Personal / Professional Skills


Effective communicator.

Must exhibit proficiency in PC based software programs particularly Access, Excel and Word.

Tableau experience a plus.

Must be detail oriented and dependable.

Must possess exceptional professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Must be able to work in a team driven collaborative environment.
