SUMMARY OF POSITION The Maintenance Technician will provide support to the catalyst plant and, as necessary, to all of SD facilities as a whole. Primary objectives of the role are to maintain plant uptime and perform preventive maintenance activities within the facility. The technician will be assigned to a specific regular shift but is still working as part of a team to maintain 24/7 operations. MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strict adherence to and knowledge of all plant safety and process protocols Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery within the plant as needed and with urgency Rebuild small equipment (pumps, switches, valves, meters, motors) Follow and execute preventive maintenance schedules on all equipment as directed Complete proper documentation of work as required Maintain work area in the shop (organized and clean) Ensure accurate parts usage and consumption as required Working with third party vendors to maintain equipment BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS 5 years minimum machinery repair experience within manufacturing and or industrial plant environment This positon works 12 hour shifts on a seven out of fourteen day schedule. Night shift. Strong communication skills, verbal and written Experience with motors, compressors, pumps, drive trains, drive shafts, and basic machine repair Experience with computer control systems and interface Electrical troubleshooting experience 110v/240v/480v PLC troubleshooting experience preferred Experience with programmable industrial robots preferred Experience with HVAC ventilation systems preferred Experience with Cat - Ox systems preferred Experience with developing or following established plant PM schedules preferre SAP/CMMS experience a plus Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $72,000 - $80,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
