Job Description:
The Systems Integration and Test Department is seeking a Lead Test Engineer with a strong background in qualification test. You will be responsible for coordinating, preparing, managing, and executing environmental testing projects designed to take the products to the limit of their functional and structural design. Environmental Testing includes but not limited to thermal chamber, vibe, and shake tests. Candidate will take ownership of test strategy implementation where schedule, cost, and risk are balanced and optimized for the whole program. Candidate will work with Systems to derive test requirements for verification.
Essential Functions:

• 
  
• 
  Plan, document, coordinate, and execute environmental exposure tests on high-technology, high-value hardware produced for the defense industry
  
  
• 
  Support the documentation and investigation of anomalies and failures found during testing
  
  
• 
  Responsible for supporting the System Test Architect with the generation of test plans, procedures, testing, report generation and gathering of objective evidence for requirement verification
  
  
• 
  Interface and collaborate with other Engineering departments in various design reviews with respect to quality & qualification requirements and processes
  
  
• 
  Participate in quality analysis for continuous process improvement
  
  
• 
  Support Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
  
  
• 
  Provide insight on improving existing test capabilities, to give better cost and schedule control
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
    
    
  • 
    OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
    
    
  • 
    Clearance required
    
    
  • 
    If none, must be able to attain clearance
    
    
  • 
    Onboarding is contingent upon clearance received/approved
    
    
  • 
    5+ years' experience in Qualification Testing5+ years' experience using high-speed digital and RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscope, logic analyzers, etc.)
    
    
  • 
    Working knowledge of DO-160 or equivalent MIL-STDs (-810 Environmental, -704 Electrical Power and -461 EMI)
    
    
  • 
    5+ years' experience integrating and/or troubleshooting component level systems, such as RF, power, and/or digital assemblies
    
    
  • 
    3+ years' experience leading technical teams through validation and/or qualification testing
    
    
  • 
    3+ years' experience in Agile development process using tools such as Jira, Bit bucket, and Jenkins
    
    
    Preferred Additional Skills:
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Excellent organization skills
      
      
    • 
      Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment, with ability to provide progress reports succinctly and confidently
      
      
    • 
      Experience with System Integration and Design Verification Testing
      
      
    • 
      Familiarity with Boundary Scan/LabVIEW/MATLAB/other tools for instrument control
      
      
    • 
      Experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices
      
      
    • 
      Basic understanding of the principles of Electronic Warfare (EW) technology
      
      
    • 
      Experience developing Test Plans and Test Requirements
      
      
    • 
      Knowledgeable in RF principles and measurement
      
      
    • 
      Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis tools and the ability to apply them
      
      
    • 
      Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Engineering or Six Sigma methodologies
