Job Description Source One is a consulting services company and we---re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our direct client, a major energy services provider in NJ. This indiviudal will need to work in both South Plainfield and Clifton, NJ Job Title: Outreach Assistant Rate: $23/hr (W-2) The contract duration is initially 12 months with potential for extension Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Min. of 25 hrs/wk (hours will vary between 25-40/wk) The role will require extensive walking (the equivalent of a mailman). The Outreach Assistant will be responsible for the delivery of customer facing outreach communication materials. They will receive packet specifications to be printed, assembled and distributed to customers in the applicable locations statewide per the week---s schedule. Any significant findings while delivering outreach materials will be documented and communicated to ensure resolution and close out. Qualifications: - Ability to walk miles in a day - good physical condition a must - High School Diploma - Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel - Valid NJ Driver License - Preferred skills include campaign canvassing, door to door delivery, bilingual not required but a plus - Ability to travel throughout service territory - reimbursement will be provided for mileage and tolls This major energy services provider has state-wide construction projects and this individual will be tasked with physically dropping off materials to customers (door hanger/letters) on a daily basis. If they see anything in the field of concerns or field questions that need to be answered, they will relay the information to the scheduler. A Public Affairs Specialist will then go out in the field with the specialist and train them for the first couple of weeks of how to deliver the material, what to look out for, etc. Specific experience not required, customer services experience preferred and will need to be able to effectively communicate. Spanish speaking is a plus. Will work from office in extreme weather (normal policy if it---s raining or icy, they don---t walk, but if it---s drizzling, they do walk. As well, anytime they don---t feel safe walking, they have the right to not walk it.
