SteamfitterJob DescriptionWe are offering a one-time bonus of $5,000 to candidates located outside of the New Milford, CT area that can be used to move closer to the facility.Summary:The Maintenance Department is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of all equipment associated with the production, packaging, and distribution of Kimberly Clark products.In this role you will be working as a maintenance team member on individual as well as team assignments and tasks. As a member of the team, you will contribute your individual skills and talents to help advance team goals and objectives which include maximizing equipment performance and building maintenance.Responsibilities:Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports and related hydraulic, pneumatic and high-pressure systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, drainage systems and industrial production and processing systemsSelect type and size of pipe and related equipment such as hangers to meet specificationsUse system knowledge to maintain and operate production piping systems and equipment to include but not limited to pressure regulators, system control valves, pneumatic systems, temperature control units and hydraulic systemsInspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes cut for pipe will not cause structural weaknessPlan installations and repair of pipe using saws, pipe cutters, hammers and chisels, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machinesAssist with design and calculations of plumbing and piping additions or modifications. Be a resource for plant project manager s and maintenance workers on plumbing/pipefittingAssembles and installs a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes and fittingsConnect pipe using threaded, caulked, soldered brazed, welded fused or cemented joints and hand toolsInstall and maintain all traps and valves pertaining to all commoditiesIncrease pressure in piping system and observe connected pressure gauge to test system for leaksPlumbing work as neededMay need to maintain and repairs sewer and drain linesBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalencyMinimum of 5 years relevant work experience in an industrial or commercial settingMust be able to work day shift with occasional overtime including nights, holidays, weekendsBasic computer skills; Excel, MS Word, OutlookAbility to read industrial flow diagrams and plumbing blueprintsAbility to apply plumbing codesUnderstanding of pneumatics/hydraulicsCompetent in applying trade mathSteam fitting experience, troubleshooting and ability to diagnose pressure reducing valve problemsWelding (mig, tig)PlumbingPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of pumpsAbility to work at heights, in pits and in confined spacesUse of predictive technologies (infrared, ultrasonic)Ability to handle multiple prioritiesProblem solving and decision-making skillsMotivated self-starterGood communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with many different people dailyKimberly-Clark and its well-known global brands are an indispensable part of life for people in more than 175 countries.
