Overview of the Human Resources Manager position Leadership HR Generalist position for our client in Northern NJ. Successful candidates will be a subject matter expert in areas of responsibility. Must demonstrate ability to listen, motivate and coach others, and exhibit entrepreneurial behavior. What will be expected of me as Human Resources Manager? * Coordinate and administer human resource programs such as developing, recommending, and implementing: * A recruitment plan to include identifying best of class candidates, testing programs, and orientation and exit programs * A performance management program to include performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, and career advancement plans * Compensation programs with competitive salary and benefits and administer incentive and bonus programs * Training and development programs * Develop and maintain the employee handbook, benefit booklet, newsletters and other human resource communication methods * Compile, maintain and review EEO/Affirmative Action data to ensure compliance with government regulations * Assist with developing significant objectives for key positions * Update employee relation practices in order to promote a positive employer-employee relationship and a high level of employee morale and teamwork * Assist with addressing human resource matters and consult with coach managers * Ensure compliance with federal, state and local government regulations on human resource matters * Assist with developing and maintaining company policies, procedures and user documentation * Design an electronic filing and retrieval system for records and ensure maintenance of required manual records * Maintain organization charts and job descriptions * Perform benefit administration including approving invoices for payment and annual renewals * Process, maintain, analyze, and monitor workers' compensation insurance claims, safety reports and OSHA reporting while calculating loss runs and experience modification ratings * Assist Safety Committee with safety training, policies and procedures * Perform backup responsibility for payroll function when required * Maintain strict confidentiality * Performs other duties as assigned What qualifies me for this Human Resources Manager position? * College degree * 5 or more years of progressive experience in Human Resources position
