Job Description Job Description Winston Staffing has a contract opportunity for a LMSW at a hospital in Patchogue, LI. if you are a compassionate and motivated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) this could be a great opportunity for you. From Mon to Fri, you will be providing exceptional support and services to individuals and families. Your strong skills in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment (individual and group) for patients presenting with psychiatric and/or co-occurring Substance Use Disorders will be used and you must adhere to all NYS Office of Mental Health Regulations. Job Responsibilities: • The ability to assess and reassess the needs of the patient as per regulatory guidelines • Accurately assesses the needs of assigned patients within the parameters of length of stay and discharge criteria • Demonstrates the ability to communicate needs of patients with treatment team • Completes psychosocial evaluations on assigned patients in a timely fashion • Conducts therapies in accordance with patient diagnosis and needs. • Provides efficient discharge planning throughout treatment process. • Conducts individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions • Completes individualized treatment plan within time parameters for each patient • Conducts and documents ongoing insurance certifications as indicated • Appropriate consents and releases of information collected from patients Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work. Current New York State license to practice social work. Knowledgeable in federal, state and local regulations. Knowledge of outside health-related and community resources for Behavioral Health patients. Able to work effectively in a chaotic crisis environment. Two years experience working with psychiatric patients preferred. Knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention technique or ability to learn mandatory Secure Training. - Knowledge of Restraint policy
