Radiology Tech Location: Morganville, NJ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,584 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: X-ray Technologist Profession: Radiology Tech Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift - Weekdays Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1 year in Orthopedics preferred License: New Jersey State License required Certifications: Must meet requirements for the National Registry and pass the examination Description: The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations. This position requires a technical level of work that does not require constant supervision. Essential job functions include producing diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients. Providing immobilization devices and selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs are also required. The technologist must select and operate equipment as needed for specific procedures. Radiation beams must be restricted through cone and collimating devices to prevent exposure to unaffected parts of the patient. Portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms must be performed. Operational procedures must be followed to identify patient films with name and x-ray number, marking films as to the side of the patient taken. The technologist develops exposed x-ray films by processing methods available. Completing patient requisitions with technologist initials, date, number, and size of film is part of the job. Maintaining an orderly x-ray room as directed is required. The technologist prepares radiopaque contrast media and assists in administering these to patients. Administrative duties include scheduling appointments, providing patient instructions, film filing, maintaining records, and reception duties. The technologist renders services and assistance to patients based on individual needs and abilities. Physical requirements include lifting a minimum of 5 lbs., pushing and pulling 10 lbs., and standing for a minimum of 6 hours a day. Identifying the needs of the patient population served and modifying care that is specific to those needs is essential. This process includes effective communication with patients and caregivers at their level. Adherence to established standards and organizational competencies is expected.
