at Temple University - Temple Health summary: The position is for a
full-time faculty member in General Internal Medicine at Temple
University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine, focusing on
comprehensive outpatient care, medical education, and clinical
research. The role involves teaching internal medicine fundamentals
to healthcare providers and managing patients with diverse
conditions including HIV, addiction, and chronic diseases.
Candidates must hold M.D. or D.O. degrees, be board-certified or
eligible in Internal Medicine, and contribute to a diverse and
inclusive academic environment. The Department of Medicine, Section
of General Internal Medicine at Temple University’s Lewis Katz
School of Medicine is seeking qualified Internal Medicine trained
applicants for a full time General Internal Medicine (GIM) faculty
position. Why Temple? • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered
care to our patients in outpatient primary care settings, while
teaching the fundamentals of general internal medicine to the
healthcare providers of the future. • 17 full-time faculty members
whose interests include medical education, obesity, hypertension,
HIV and Hepatitis C, integrative medicine, social determinants of
health, trauma-informed care, medication-assisted therapies,
palliative care and geriatrics. • Supportive environment with
faculty involved in numerous innovative educational and research
programs in areas such as clinical skills training,
physician-patient communications, ambulatory medical education and
clinical trials. • Highlights include: providing outpatient HIV
primary care, ambulatory addiction medicine, inpatient addiction
medicine consults, along with the precepting of internal medicine
residents. Candidate Qualifications • M.D., D.O. or Foreign
Equivalent • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal
Medicine • Board Certification or Eligibility in Addiction Medicine
preferred • Unrestricted medical license and DEA in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain it prior to
start date • Credentials for a faculty appointment at the Assistant
Professor level or above • Committed to supporting and promulgating
