Job Description UPMC is currently searching for a Full-time
Registered Nurse (RN) for our outpatient Digestive Disease Center.
This is a salaried Professional Staff Nurse, OP position with
regularly scheduled shifts Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00
pm, with no weekends or major holidays (7 paid holidays/yr). Apply

Staff Nurse, a Registered Nurse, is a vital member of the care
delivery team. Their responsibilities include setting care
standards, managing patient activities, collaborating with the
healthcare team, and maintaining relationships with providers and
patients. Responsibilities: - Quality Improvement - Actively

- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to
provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the
patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below. - Must
demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development
over the life span and possess the ability to assess data
reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate
information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative
to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as
described in the department policy and procedures. Licensure,
Certifications, and Clearances: - Act 34 with renewal - Basic Life
Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - CPR required
based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills
demonstration component within 30 days of hire - Registered Nurse
(RN) OR *Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) - Current Pennsylvania
nursing license, or a multistate license issued by an
NLC?participating state. Employees working on an out?of?state NLC
license who later establish residency in Pennsylvania must apply
for a PA Nursing license within 60 days of their residency change.
- *UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 6
months of their start date or 1 year of graduation, whichever comes
