Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Newark, NJ Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,540 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Newark, New Jersey, 07112! Job Opportunity – Progressive Care RN – New Jersey Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Newark, New Jersey Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 13-week assignment; every other weekend required; 1:4 patient ratio (varies by acuity and staffing) Highlights: Progressive Care/Step-Down unit in a Level II Trauma Center with 34 beds serving complex adult and geriatric populations Diverse case mix including LVAD management, cardiac transplant, pulmonary hypertension, ventilated patients, and neurologic disorders Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams and interpretation services Strong clinical experience required in titration of insulin and cardiac drips, LVAD care, and management of high-acuity medical patients Teaching hospital environment preferred; opportunity to work with multi-organ transplant and specialty cardiac populations Auto-offer process for qualified candidates; must submit requested time off upon initial submission for prioritization Requirements: Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/DOU/IMC/Step-Down experience required Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I and Teaching Hospital experience highly preferred Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission Strong LVAD management experience required (non-negotiable) Demonstrated competency in titration of insulin drips and cardiac/vasoactive drips Experience with arterial line management, central line care, ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, and cardiac drip management Epic charting experience required Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays and complete pre-start modules (approximately 18 non-billable hours) Willingness to float within skillset as needed based on patient acuity and census Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity progressive care environment where you'll care for a diverse and clinically complex patient population including heart, lung, and kidney transplant recipients, LVAD patients, and individuals with advanced cardiac and neurologic conditions.
