Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Job Duration: 28 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 36 hours (3x12 hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: - BLS-AHA - ACLS-AHA - Telemetry Preferred Education: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Experience: - Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave, and other various atherectomy devices - Vascular and/or Neuro diagnostic and interventions Must-Have: - Experience in Cath Lab - Ability to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and circulator of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI Job Description: - Responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments - Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health framework - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Schedule Notes: - Must be willing to cover on-call for the cardiac catheterization lab - On-call coverage may include supporting cardiac procedures off-hours and on weekends, approximately every 5 weeks. The on-call requirement, when scheduled, is 7-day coverage, with nurses breaking down the call over 2 weeks. Language Requirement: - Proficient in English (Read, Write, Speak) PERMALINK
