Employment TypeFull timeShiftRotating ShiftDescriptionAt Saint Francis Hospital the Orthopedic Tech Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.What You Will Do

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safetyMinimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
  • Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
  • Certification: BLS certification required
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant with ortho experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background checkPosition Highlights And Benefits
    • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Rotating Evening shift, 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. two shifts per week, 3pm-11:30pm two shifts per week. Must work weekends/holiday as scheduled
