Job Description:
Immediate vacancy for a Registered Nurse for Private School for
students with disabilities. Excellent salary and benefits. School

ATTN: Human Resources JOB DESCRIPTION: Consult with staff on
recognition and prevention of communicable diseases and other
health concerns. Follow all standing medical orders as directed by
Certified School Nurse. Review available students' health and
medical information. Assist with maintaining student health records
and distribution of medical information as directed by Certified
School Nurse or building Principal. Follow procedures delineated in
employee handbook pertaining to substance abuse. Maintain and
encourage awareness of safe procedures for handling bodily fluids.
Assist with the completion of health forms required by the
Department of Health and Department of Education. Review
immunization records. Adhere to DNR orders. Maintain a valid,
current Providers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification from
the American Heart Association or the equivalent from the American
Red Cross. Maintain a valid, current certificate for the
defibrillator (AED). Administration of medication under a
physician's written order and supervision of Certified School
Nurse. Perform any other duties as requested by the principal
and/or executive director of the school. Administration of asthma
medication through a nebulizer. Perform procedures such as
catheterization and G-tube feedings. Conduct annual height and
weight measurements for each student. Maintain students-staff daily
log. QUALIFICATION: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of
New Jersey. Experience working with students with disabilities.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively with
a multidisciplinary team. First Aid/CPR Certified. Employment Type:
