Overview

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking an Application Development Team Manager in the Clifton NJ, area.

Position Overview;

We are looking for an experienced manger of software development teams. The ideal candidate will possess experience working with software developers, project management, the AS/400 environment, and SQL. Experience in the healthcare field would be very beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Management of Application Development team resources responsible for a diverse range of system processes (AS/400 - COBOL - DB2 - SQL; Web Site & Mobile apps: Java - HTML; HIPPA-formatted files processing: iWay - SFTP; IVR: VB.net & telephony)
• Translation of business requirements into application design & programming specifications
• Workload tracking, prioritization, assignment, reporting & management
• Creation & management of project plans for large development efforts
• Assist in testing & QA processes
• Inter-departmental coordination
• Evaluation, review & development of team resources
• Support for ad-hoc reporting requests & data analysis
• Troubleshoot production issues & respond to processing inquiries
• Evaluation & estimation of proposed processing enhancements
• Prepare documentation describing application enhancements & interfaces
• Provide off-hours support as required
• Administrative tasks - PTO management, status reporting to management, information dissemination, etc.
  Minimum Qualifications
  
  
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
  • Experience working with the DB2 database system and a working knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
  • Experience managing projects including multiple resources & concurrent tasks to projected end dates
  • Experience as a team manager
  • Familiarity with managed care health programs and the insurance industry
  • Experience with CMS reporting requirements & formats and Compliance requirements is a plus
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Self-directed with excellent time management skills
    • Organized and extremely attentive to detail
    • Effective, honest, and clear communication style
    • A sense of urgency
    • And a good sense of humor
