Job Description:

L3Harris has an immediate opening for a Configuration Manager to join our software engineering group. The Configuration Manager (CM) is responsible for developing and applying software configuration management (SCM) practices to support the development, testing, implementation, and delivery of software applications and firmware. The position will work on-site at our Clifton, NJ office.

Essential Functions:

• Establish, maintain, and manage source code repositories using tool suites such as PTC integrity & Bitbucket/Git.
• Manage source code and documentation tagging, branching and merging for multiple projects.
• Generate SW build releases to provide CM controlled versions of SW and FW Configuration Items (CIs).
• Maintain documentation of Software Configuration Changes by generating/updating CSCI level SW Version Description Documents.
• Maintain CM Process documentation including software configuration management plan and build procedures.
• Support DevOps development programs utilizing JIRA, Bitbucket, and Jenkins. This includes developing Scripts and automating processes to improve efficiency of SW builds, integration, release, deployment and delivery.
• Provide tool support to developers and project teams. Tools include JIRA, Bitbucket/Git, Confluence, PTC Integrity, Jenkins, Visual Source Safe, Smartbear Collaborator, and Scientific Toolwork Understand.
• Collaborate with a team and interact with a variety of Engineering functions from software developers to Project Leads while complying with all company and SCM standards.
• Analyze software configuration management (SCM) customer requirements, investigate and implement solutions based on tool knowledge and SCM standard policies. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or a related field) and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • 2 years of related software configuration management (SCM) experience.
  • Experience with a scripting language such as PERL, Python, and/or Bash.
  • Experience with version control software.
  • Eligibility for a security clearance. Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Active Secret security clearance.
    • Experience with standard toolsets such as PTC Integrity, Visual Source Safe (VSS), Agile PDM, SmartBear Collaborator, and/or Scientific Toolwork Understand.
    • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems.
