Job Description:
The VP Womens, Buying is responsible for the creation and
execution of the merchandise strategies, goals, and objectives with
full bottom-line responsibility as it relates to all Womens Tommy
Hilfiger North America Company Stores and Ecomm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and set short-term and long-term merchandise goals and
metrics with the EVP Merchandising to achieve prescribed growth
plans and company objectives Directs buying (domestic and global)
to ensure adequate volume/inventory levels, the integrity of
quality and pricing, and to maximize all aspects of open-to-buy for
the division in stores and online
- Collaborates with Design & Product Development on line
development and the execution of the line as it relates to final
costing and timely delivery with Production Operations. Drives
merchandise strategies behind business plans; works closely with
planning to ensure all product opportunities are pursued and
appropriately planned
- Oversees assortment sku plans and final product selection for
the division, ensuring costing goals are met while maximizing item
impact and incorporating appropriate penetration of fashion
- Devises new and innovative business strategies for the
division, driving bottom-line and top-line growth
- Acts as product/market expert on competition and industry
trends
- Actively collaborates with VP Planning and Allocation on
financial budget plans including expense and organizational
budgets
- Works closely with the field team to drive merchandise
strategies in-store. This includes attending monthly conference
calls and regular store visits
- Works closely with Merchandising and Visual team to strategize
major floorset initiatives and marketing campaigns
- Ensures the merchandise department is organized and staffed to
meet the objectives of the company
- Cultivate talent & mentor direct reports- conduct timely
coaching sessions to provide feedback regarding growth &
development for next level position
- Clearly communicate expectations and implications. Ensure the
team has all the tools needed to deliver on their responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Experienced merchant leader with a diversified background in
product development, planning/distribution, and visual
merchandising 8-10+ years relevant buying experience, with specific
knowledge and expertise in vertical retailing environments Must
have experience in driving a retail division in
merchandising/buying Comprehensive knowledge of current
fashion/retail trends; ability to introduce innovative business
ideas to the team
- Digital Merchandising experience a plus
- Prior management experience required; must have experience in
successfully developing talent
- Strong communication skills and people development skills
- Collaborative leadership style and strong cross-functional
partnership abilities, particularly with Design, Marketing and
Planning
- Must exhibit open and encouraging leadership style, a defined
point of view
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate brand
strategy and vision across all levels of an organization
- A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team
player
- A high energy, roll-up-the-sleeves attitude with a positive
approach to dealing with challenges Balance of strategic

product throughout the entire North America retail chain &
Ecommerce, including the execution approach

$175,000 - $260,000PVH currently provides base salary ranges for
all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on
local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably
believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for
said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation
will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant
factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic
