Overview of the OrganizationEnterprise Risk Technology (ERT) is
part of Citi's Institutional Clients Group (ICG) Markets Technology
organization. ERT delivers innovative engineering solutions to Data
Management, Analytics, Monitoring, and Reporting problems for the
investment bank's Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk and
Regulatory Capital user communities globally. Clients include Risk
managers, Trading desks, Financial controllers and various
regulatory reporting groups across the globe. The scale and
complexity of the applications in the stack require the use of
advanced technologies to manage very large data sets, horizontally
scalable, massively parallel compute and data processing
architecture, and business Intelligence tools to provide drill
downs.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Director of Credit Risk
Monitoring Applications to extend and enhance our platform. The
platform allows salespeople, traders, operations staff and risk
officers to manage Citi's exposure to financial institutions,
governments and corporates that trade with Citi. The team builds
and maintains software for a range of related needs: limit
monitoring, exception management, stress testing analysis and
escalation workflow capabilities are some key areas of focus. Our
users rely on the system for an integrated view of trades,
collateral, market data, across many dozens of sources.Additional
Job DescriptionLead a global team of software engineers, business
analysts, DevOps and support staff to deliver software solutions
for the business. This role will oversee a team of 100+
professionals engaged in advancing the platform for credit risk
monitoring.This role must negotiate requirements, collaborate
across teams and ultimately be responsible for delivery and
maintenance of the firm's credit risk monitoring capability. This
role must face off at multiple levels in ICM, Credit Risk, Front
Office Technology and GFT. They must be an effective communicator
to face off with MD level stakeholders regularlyManage SDLC
proactively, continually looking for ways that automation can
improve process and the developer experience.Lead the adoption of
new technologies where appropriate to solve business problems while
adhering to Citi's architectural guidelines.Serve as advisor or
coach to mid-level/junior developers and analysts, helping build
the overall capabilities of the team.Responsibilities:
Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals to accomplish
established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g.
performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well
as ensure team adheres to best practices and process. Develop
vision for team around roles and responsibilities, and structure
team to ensure greatest impact, efficient use of resource, and
alignment to business structures Drive the design and development
of system architecture, work with end-users of the systems, and
enhance the quality of deliverables Monitor and manage approach/end
results, budgeting, planning, policy formation, and contribute to
future strategy of the area(s) Ensure change is managed with
appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including
implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting
requirementsCompetencies Deep knowledge the credit risk domain and
best practices in the industry Strong leadership Ability to
persuade and influence senior leaders through excellent data driven
communication and diplomacy skillsQualifications/Education:
Graduate or a Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics) discipline. 5 years working in the
