OVERVIEW This role oversees the day-to-day operations of marine civil and submarine cable construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution of work. The Superintendent collaborates closely with the Project Manager to meet project goals, manage labor and equipment, and maintain budget compliance. A deep understanding of heavy equipment, union labor practices, and construction sequencing is essential. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marine construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to travel and stay overnight at project sites as needed High school diploma or equivalent required Proven knowledge of construction contracts and subcontract execution Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and maintenance needs Familiarity with union labor rules and Collective Bargaining Agreements Capable of interpreting construction plans and specifications Proficient in monitoring production rates and adjusting operations to improve efficiency Competent in preparing daily reports, tracking project quantities, and assisting with monthly progress estimates Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with inspectors, engineers, client representatives, and site personnel Able to represent job status and challenges effectively in meetings Flexible schedule aligned to meet project demands PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field Specialized experience in marine construction projects LOCATION: Northeast U.S. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $180k base salary Travel expenses covered when required by project needs Full benefits package available
