Job Description Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description We are seeking a well-rounded quality professional to join our team in manufacturing medical wire and tubing. The ideal candidate will have experience working with metals and will be responsible for using various tools, such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, and optical non-contact visual inspection machines, to measure length, height, and diameter. Experience with quality systems and computer documentation is essential. Responsibilities Read blueprints and specifications. Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards. Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process. Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced. Measure products using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Operate electronic inspection equipment and software. Approve or reject raw materials or finished products based on quality standards and record supplier performance. Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications. Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected. Operate electronic inspection equipment, including coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) and 3D scanners. Prepare and submit reports to Quality Management. Assist production personnel in promoting ideas for controlling wasted materials and time. Essential Skills Experience in inspection and quality control. Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading. Ability to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Capability to use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers for measuring steel wires. Experience with visual measuring tools similar to CMM. Knowledge of quality system documentation and ISO standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma required. Ability to use a microscope. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Applies feedback to improve performance and monitors own work to ensure quality. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is for the 1st shift, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, in a manufacturing facility with multiple departments. The company operates 3 shifts, and many employees are being cross-trained. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rahway, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
