We were established in 1990 and have approximately 600 employees in the U.S.A. and 2,500 employees worldwide. We have offices in the U.S.A., China, Hong Kong, Germany, UK and Bangladesh. Our U.S. warehouse facilities are located in New Jersey for east coast distribution and California for west coast distribution.We are seeking a driven Senior Accountant for our Corporate Office in South Hackensack. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented person who is a problem solver, takes initiative, possesses great communication skills, has the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice, and enjoys the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals to join our team.Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivableProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingProvide technical support and advice on Management AccountantReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresManage accounting assistants and bookkeepersParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast processProvide input into department's goal setting processPrepare financial statements and produce budget according to scheduleAssist with tax audits and tax returnsDirect internal and external audits to ensure compliancePlan, assign and review staff's workSupport month-end and year-end close processDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP principlesPoven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountantThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHands-on experience with accounting software packages,Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookup and pivot tablesAccuracy and attention to detailBS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevantLiaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial proceduresIf you see yourself as our newest team member, please submit your resume and salary requirements (Applications without the salary requirement might be delayed for review).GMA Group is committed to equal treatment and opportunity in all aspects of recruitment, selection, and employment without regard to gender, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, age, veteran or military status, or any other category protected under the law.
