Berkeley Research GroupThis is a paid Full-Time temporary
position with the possibility for conversion to full-time
employment as an Associate after successful internship
completion.BRG Corporate Finance is looking for a recent college
graduate to join its Research group in Saddle Brook, NJ. Candidates
must reside within a daily commuting distance from the Saddle
Brook, NJ office.Practice Overview:BRGs Corporate Finance practice
offers a full portfolio of services to companies across the
corporate lifecycle including supporting transactions, leading
performance improvement activities in non-distressed situations and
turnaround and restructuring activities in distressed
situations.The Research Group is an internal knowledge team within
BRG Corporate Finance, supporting Corporate Finance professionals
in their business development efforts and billable case work.
Services the group provides include:Assistance with lead generation
for restructuring work (i.e. Watchlists, bankruptcy filing alerts,
research on pending opportunities, etc.).Preparation of pitches,
proposals, and other presentations, including industry overviews
and thought leadership materials.Support on active
engagements.Maintenance of marketing materials for the
Restructuring Group.Job Responsibilities:Assist the group in
collecting financial and economic information on companies and
industries using Capital-IQ, Bloomberg, Factiva, and other
third-party sources.Assist the team members in preparation of
financial and economic analyses, proposals, pitch books, and
industry presentations.Maintain proprietary databases.Respond to ad
hoc research requests.Qualifications:Recent college graduate with a
degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related
discipline;Candidates majoring in other disciplines and having
relevant experience will be considered;Strong academic record is
required;Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
is a must;The candidate must have excellent analytical/quantitative
skills with superior attention to details;Familiarity with
third-party research sources (such as Bloomberg, CapitalIQ,
Factiva, etc.) is a plus;Self-starter and able to thrive in a
high-pressure environment;Some overtime and weekend work may be
required; andMust reside within a daily commuting distance from the
